                   Studio Etiquette

Etiquette is common courtesy and polite behaviors in a particular setting.

Some may be new to a group or class setting and that is okay. Here are some pointers on studio etiquette.

  • Arrive on time or early

Arriving on time shows respect for the other students in the class and the teacher. If you have a few minutes before class (yoga) , relax in Savasana or do gentle stretches. Once the class starts the door will be locked so the students aren't interrupted. refunds will not be issued check refund policy page for more information.

  • Remove your shoes

Yoga practices are done without shoes. upon entering the teacher will instruct you on where to put your shoes. Yoga socks are especially made for yoga. They have a non slip grip on the bottom to avoid injury. They are a great alternative if you don't feel comfortable being barefoot, or have a medical condition.

  • Injuries or concerns

Make sure to tell your instructor about any injuries or concerns before the class starts. Remember to always consult with your doctor before participating in any yoga practice.

  • respect others mats and mat space

Avoid stepping on other students mats while making your way through the room. Be willing to move your mat to make space for other students.

  • No distractions

turn your phone off or leave it outside of the studio.

  • personal hygiene

Mind both ends of the spectrum. Don't wear to much perfume/cologne as it can cause a distraction to you and other students.

  • Have to leave early?

If you have to leave early try to let the instructor know before class and position your mat closer to the door. Leave quietly.
